Job Profile:

We are looking for a qualified Database developer cum administrator to design stable and reliable databases as per our company's need. You will be responsible for developing, testing, improving, and maintaining new and existing databases to help retrieve data effectively.

As part of our team, you will work closely with developers to ensure system consistency.

Required skills:

1. Setup, configure, manage & monitor database clusters with the master, slave configurations, and failover.
2. Cost optimization of Amazon instances using databases.
3. Optimize database queries and ensure table locking/deadlocks happen in production.
4. Create and maintain database tables, views, indexes, and triggers.
5. Develop and maintain stored procedures.
6. Knowledge of database design principles, query optimization, index management, integrity checks, statistics, and isolation levels.
7. Experience in migration from SQL Server to Postgres.
8. Work with all levels of development from analysis through implementation and support.
9. Interact with business analysts and UI developers to establish/clarify their requirements
10. Skilled at optimizing large, complicated SQL statements & Stored Procedures.
11. Measure database performance and troubleshoot complex database issues, and IO bottlenecks.
12. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
13. Good attitude towards work and flexibility desired.

Experience:

Experience and Knowledge of multiple databases like (SQL Server/Postgres)
Experience and Knowledge of installation, deployment, and maintenance of DBs.
Experience working on AWS/Azure
